The bar is the first room

Most people arrive having already had dinner on the avenue, with five streets of beach behind them and no intention of dancing for another hour. Opening at ten is about exactly that.

Fourteen seats, and no reservations for them

The bar is nine metres of oak and fourteen seats, and they are the only places in the house that cannot be booked. Whoever arrives first takes them. Between ten and eleven they are the best seat in the room, because at that hour the bar is the room.

Order by feel, not by brand. Tell whoever is behind the bar whether you want it long or short, sharp or round, and how the night is going. It is faster than reading, and it is more accurate.

What is on the list

Eleven signature drinks, plus everything a bar of this size should have: tequila and mezcal by the glass or the bottle, champagne, whisky, and the four or five long drinks that hold up at two in the morning.
