Mezontle sits a block from Quinta Avenida. Of all the bars and clubs near Quinta Avenida in Playa del Carmen, this is the one you walk straight past: you go in, pass what looks like the end of the building, and find the door at the back of the corridor.
Close enough to walk from anywhere in the centre — Quinta Avenida nightlife in Playa del Carmen is two minutes away. Far enough that its noise does not come in with you.

The beach is five blocks away and the good dinner is on the avenue, so most people arrive having already done both. That is the point of a 10 PM opening.
Come early if you want the bar, come after midnight if you want the room at full volume. Both work; they are different nights.
